Dublin (Ireland) - our hero's start and end point. Probably in life as well as on this trip. That was profound, wasn't it. London (England) - Heathrow to be precise. Not entirely exotic but it has to be done. Mumbai (India) - The artist formerly known as Bombay. I left my heart in San Francisco, and the contents of my stomach in Bombay. Bangkok (Thailand) - "Bangkok, Oriental setting, and the city don't know what the city is getting" ...maybe we should warn them! Sydney (Australia) - Christchurch (New Zealand) - Known as "The Garden City of the World" got its first Europeans just over 150 years ago. Hope they're ready for this one! Auckland - In the Maori language, Auckland is known as Tamaki Makau Rau, the city of 100 lovers. Oh Christ!!! Papeete (Tahiti) - Sometimes called the Island of Love, anyone see a pattern emerging here. Think dusky maidens, think sun-kissed beaches, think tropical cocktails, think Smithy! Easter Island - The early settlers called the island "Te Pito O Te Henua" (Navel of The World), hmmm. Home of the famous (and massive) carved statues and one of the most mysterious places on earth. Santiago (Chile) - Sao Paulo (Brazil) - Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) - La Paz (Boliva) - Lima (Peru) Madrid (Spain)
